Conduct a Food and Funds Drive

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and depends on donations of food and funds to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors.

To collect food and/or funds for Second Harvest Food Bank:

  • Your food and funds drive must be registered with the Food Bank. Please click here to download the food and funds drive registration form.   • All food drives and events must be approved by the Food Bank.  Materials, questions and inquiries may be directed to Shirley Matula or Donna Hageman at 330.792.5522 ext. 17.
  • Collection boxes and barrels are available at the Food Bank. Collection materials must be picked up from and returned to the Food Bank.
  • Food and funds collected must be delivered to the Food Bank located at 2805 Salt Springs Road in Youngstown at the conclusion of the drive, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.


Bagful or truckload, food donations provide meals to local families. The Food Bank accepts all non-perishable food items.  A list of our most needed food items are as follows:

  • Peanut butter
  • Cereal
  • Canned vegetables
  • Tuna fish
  • Dry pasta
  • Canned soup
  • Macaroni and cheese
